The Kankakee County Historical Society will host their annual ugly sweater and hot chocolate party on Friday, December 15, from 3 to 8 p.m.! Enjoy an evening of holiday cheer right in the middle of the Kankakee County Museum’s 45th Annual Gallery of Trees, 801 S. Eighth Avenue!

This year’s ugly sweater party features Marcia’s Macarons, the St. George Band from 5:30-6:30 p.m., Kankakee Valley Chamber Musicians from 6:30 – 8 p.m., free hot cocoa, visits with Santa, crafts, coloring, and more. There is no entry fee, however there is a suggested donation of $3 per person for the Gallery of Trees. Ugly sweaters are encouraged but not required.

On the following day, Saturday, December 16, stop by our other museum location, the French Heritage Museum, 165 N. Indiana Avenue, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., for even more hot cocoa, treats, crafts, holiday decor, local history, and visits with Sinterklaas! There is no better time to visit, learn, and enjoy the beautiful architecture of the historic Stone Barn.
