Call the library at 708-946-9090 for programs that require registration. The library’s Penfield Street parking lot entrance is closed until spring, but the Maxwell Street entrance still is open. Turn north on Maxwell from Indiana Avenue to get to the library.

December 7, 8, 14, and 15, at 10 a.m., Beecher Bookworm Buddies: Enjoy stories, games, music, and a craft for small children in the meeting room! Call to register.
December 13 or 14, at 4 p.m. each day, Make A Present For Your Parent, for children ages six-plus: Kids will make and wrap a creative gift for a parent or other loved one. Call to register.
Elf on a Bookshelf: Libby the Elf is hiding in different spots in the library. Find her to earn a sticker and raffle ticket for a small prize. Children are allowed to find her daily, plus filling out a raffle ticket every time is also an easy and fun way to teach kids their phone numbers.
Christmas Card Making: Drop in the library any time to decorate a Christmas card to send to a loved one.

December 7, 12, and14, from 2-5 p.m., One-on-One Technology Help: Sit down for a half hour and receive technology help with any of your devices, including phones, tablets, and laptops. Receive help with apps, email, Facebook and social media, computer basics, or get any other technology questions answered. Call to register.
December 13, at 7 p.m., Holiday Movie Music: Film historian John Legear will discuss the history of holiday movie music. Join us for songs, dances, and movie scenes from beloved holiday movies. Refreshments will be served.
