Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $15,000 cash reward (good for 60 days) for information that leads to the indictment or arrest of the person responsible for this crime. Those with information, video or photographs may call an anonymous tip into the CCCS hotline at 1-800- 535-STOP or CPD hotline at 833-408-0069 or email CCCS at TIPS@cookcountycrimestoppers.org. They do not need the caller’s name; the caller will be given a code number.

The CCCS recently distributed flyers in Chrysler Village, door to door.

The Cook County Crime Stoppers is one of the nation’s oldest, civilian-led groups focusing on ferreting out tips that lead to solving homicides. “We work with families and others to go door-todoor,” CCCS Chairman George McDade has said. “We do more than pass out flyers. We talk to people face to face; and so often, that kind of encounter leads to tips—far more than, say, taping a flyer to a light pole. Our methods work. We get results.”

Since 1986, the non-profit group has generated some 12,247 felony-level crime tips; solved more than 2,620 cases; have made over 3,122 offenders be accountable for their crimes; removed 223 guns from the hands of criminals and recovered $22,570,889 in stolen property and illegal narcotics. CCCS tipsters have helped police solve murders, sexual assaults, bank robberies, abuse to children and seniors, as well as animals.
