Golden Opportunities After Hours, from 4-6:30 p.m., Thursday, December 14, plus from 4-6 p.m., Saturday, December 16, Four Rivers Environmental Education Center, Channahon: View the “Golden Opportunity: Botanical Illustrations” traveling exhibit during extended hours. Free, all ages.

Volunteer Morning, from 9 a.m.-noon, Thursday, December 14, Keepataw Preserve, DuPage Township: Get some fresh air and exercise, while helping to make a difference in your community.
