The City of Kankakee’s Economic and Community Development Agency (ECDA) will host a workshop on Tuesday, October 24, at 5:30 p.m., in the ECDA Office, 200 E. Court Street, Suite 410, Kankakee. This workshop will review what lead is and why it is a hazard, including where to look throughout your home for lead hazards. Both homeowners and tenants are encouraged to attend to learn about identifying hazards, as well as to learn more about programming available through the ECDA.
ECDA has funding available to address lead hazards in low- to moderate-income households with children under the age of six. This workshop will be presented in English, with a Spanish interpreter. ECDA Realizará Taller Educativo Sobre el Control de Peligros del Plomo
La Agencia de Desarrollo Económico y Comunitario (ECDA) de la Cuidad de Kankakee organizará un taller el Martes 24 de Octubre, a las 5:30 p.m., en la oficina de ECDA, 200 E. Court Street, Suite 410, Kankakee. Este taller revisará qué es el plomo y por qué es un peligro, incluido dónde buscar en toda su casa para detectar peligros de plomo. Se anima a los propietarios e inquilinos a asistir para aprender a identificar peligros, así como para obtener más información sobre la programación disponible a través de ECDA. ECDA tiene fondos disponibles para abordar los peligros del plomo en hogares de ingresos bajos a moderados con niños menores de seis años. Este taller se presentará en inglés con un intérprete de español.
