Medicare 101 at the Library: Join us at the Kankakee Public Library, 201 E. Merchant Street, for an educational presentation on Medicare. This free presentation allows one to get the answers needed to Medicare questions, including what Medicare covers, when and where to apply, and what to do if you’re still working. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 17, at 1:30 p.m. The event is hosted by Life Smart Senior Services.
Local Author Melanie Homes at Library: The Friends of the Kankakee Public Library will host author Melanie Holmes at the Kankakee Public Library, also on Tuesday, October 17, at 7 p.m. Holmes will discuss her most recent book, “100 Things to Do in Illinois Before You Die.” Whether you’re a lifelong Illinoisan or visiting for the weekend, you’ll discover something to add to your bucket list.
