Dorothy A. Stolzenbach, 84, of Merrillville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2023, with her family by her side. Born October 31, 1938, in Wheeling, she was the daughter of James and Margaret Portway.
Dorothy retired from Eastman Kodak Company and United Parcel Service, where she was a senior accountant representative. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Wesley. They went on more than 35 cruises around the world and visited all 50 states.
She is survived by her sons, James Hanrahan, Shawn of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Marty; a brother, James (Rachel) Portway; a sister, Annie Stieben; two stepsons, Kevin (Katie) and Mark (Karen); one stepdaughter, Vicki (Dean) Jacobson; as well as many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Wesley.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 20, at Hack-Jensen Funeral Home in Beecher. Memorials may be made to the Stolzenbach family.
