The Joseph Cardinal Bernardin Council of the Knights of Columbus, located in Evergreen Park, for the 14th year has awarded five $500 scholarships to deserving graduates of five local Catholic Schools for their exemplary service to their school, church and community.

Anton R. Iberle, Past Grand Knight, presented the awards in May to these outstanding students: Michael Cushing. of Most Holy Redeemer, Timothy Reidy, of Queen of Martyrs, Nathan Killeen, of St John Fisher, Idalia Gallegos, of St. Bede the Venerable and Catherine Hedderman, of St. Catherine of Alexandria. They will be attending Brother Rice, Marist, Mount Carmel and Mother McAuley high schools.

Our Council has proudly awarded $41,000 in scholarships over these years.

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization with over 2 million members.
