The Village of Manteno and Manteno Police Department announce the opening of its brand-new, cutting-edge facility, designed to provide enhanced public safety services. This state-of-the-art facility marks a significant milestone in the village’s commitment to serving and protecting its growing community and citizens.

Village Administrator Chris LaRoque describes the new facility as “A major investment in a critical village facility. Mayor Nugent and our village board recognized the important needs and shortcomings of the current police department building, including the need for improved facilities for our female officers. This new facility will serve our department well for many years to come.”

The Manteno Police Department’s new facility is the result of a long-term vision to create a modern and efficient hub for law enforcement activities. This project has been in development for a couple years and is a testament to the dedication of the Village of Manteno’s leaders, police force, and the entire community. The new police department is at 110 Marquette Place South and was unveiled on September 9, at a Community Open House and Ribbon Cutting.

Manteno Chief of Police Chief Alan Swinford commented, “This new facility represents a significant step forward for the Manteno Police Department. It will allow us to better serve and protect our residents, enhance our partnerships with the community, and provide our officers with the tools and resources they need to excel in their duties.”
