Dorothy A. Dubiel, of Chicago, Clearing community, graced this earth for 94 years, passed away August 17.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edward W. Dubiel; loving mother of Suzanne (Dennis) Mola, Paul Dubiel, Claudia (Dan) Olson and Edward Dubiel; cherished grandmother of Rachel Mola, David (Lauren) Mola, Eric Olson, Mary (Frank) Snoreck and the late Faith Olson; great grandmother of Veronica, Anthony, Alexandra, Liam, Lyla, Madison, Tyler and Macy. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held August 24 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation was held August 25 until time of Prayers. Procession from the funeral home to Two Holy Martyrs Parish, St. Rene Goupil Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Dorothy was laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Resurrection Cemetery. Beloved wife of more than 42 years to Jim; loving and proud mother of Jimmy (Alexis), Bill, Mike and John Dulski; cherished grandmother of Noah, Eden and Amina; dear sister of George “Gus”, John (Nancy), Paul (Mary Ellen), Tom (Denise), Willie (Dawn) Hill and the late Crystle (Lynn) Johnson. Loving aunt to a great many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Dear sister-in-law of Nora Phalon and Ursula Ebke.

Randy R. Dusek Jr., age 49, of Chicago, Garfield Ridge community, passed away unexpectedly August 18.

He was the beloved son of Randy R. Dusek Sr. and Margaret Genovese; father of Alexis Dusek and Allison Dusek; dear brother of Russel Dusek and the late Matthew Dusek and the late Hope Dusek. Randy will be dearly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends.

GabrysALICE M. GABRYS

Alice M. Gabrys (nee Presto), age 93, passed away peacefully, August 21, at her residence in the Carillon Community of Plainfield. Alice’s great passion was singing and performing and was blessed with a beautiful soprano voice. She enjoyed performing with her friends and community in the Carillon Chorus for over 20 years.

She is survived by her loving son Gary (Vicki) Rada; grandchildren Robert Rada and Jaclyn (Kristi) Arrington; great grandchildren Cecilie, Lincoln, and Emery; devoted friend Nancy Tobolski (Rada), also many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by her husbands James Rada, and Felix Gabrys; parents Frank and Mary Presto, also two sons Robert and Daniel Rada.

Visitation was held August 28 until the time of service at Anderson Memorial Home, 21131 W. Renwick Rd., Plainfield, IL 60544. Following a funeral luncheon (immediately after services) family and friends reconvened at Anderson Memorial Home for a departure to Resurrection Cemetery in Justice for interment and committal prayers. Juan Gallardo, age 42, of Chicago, Little Village community, passed away unexpectedly August 19.

He was the son of the late Anselmo and late Guadalupe Gallardo; dear brother of Angelica Gallardo, Anselmo (Tina) Gallardo, Victor (Rocio) Gallardo, Rubin (Elva) Gallardo, Mario (Lourdes) Gallardo and Javier (Aida) Gallardo. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.

KacmarekMARY KAY KACMAREK

Mary Kay Kacmarek passed away peacefully at home, August 21, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the devoted wife for 51 years to her beloved husband, George Kacmarek; cherished mother of Amy (James) Lamer and Dana (financé Damien) Kacmarek; proud grandmother of Madison; much loved sister of Downey (Linda) Varey and Tom (Jan) Varey. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Mary Kay was a graduate of St. Francis Nursing School. She received her BSN and MSN from St. Xavier University. She worked at the former Mercy Hospital for 27 years in various positions from staff nurse to V.P. of Nursing. After leaving Mercy Hospital, Mary Kay was a nurse surveyor for the Joint Commission. For 14 years she was the Vice President for Providence Life Services before retiring in 2019. Mary Kay loved being a nurse and she embodied the true meaning of what a nurse is.  Her compassion, grace, enthusiasm, talent and love buoyed her family and friends. Respected and admired by her colleagues, she will be remembered for her brilliance, laughter, generosity, wisdom, mentoring, honesty and love.  Leaving a remarkable legacy, to know her was to love her. She will be deeply missed, always loved and forever remembered.

Visitation was held August 27 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation was held August 28 at the funeral home until time of Service in Celebration of Mary Kay’s life. Procession from the funeral home to Resurrection Cemetery where she was laid to rest. DAVID KOSIEK

David Kosiek peacefully entered into eternal life August 23.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Diane and his second wife, Valerie; father of David Kosiek and Dawn Kosiek; dear brother of the late Martin (late Alberta) Kosiek and the late Patricia (late Jack) Nolan.  David will be missed and remembered by his nieces and nephews. He was a proud member of the Sprinkler Fitters Local #281, U.A.

Visitation was held August 29 until time of Mass of Christian Burial at Two Holy Martyrs Parish, St. Symphorosa Church. Procession from the church to Resurrection Cemetery where David was laid to rest next to his beloved wife Diane.

Jan Kwak, age 62, passed away August 20.

Cherished son of Aniela (nee Sader) and the late Jan Kwak; loving brother of Kazimierz (Stanislawa) Kwak and the late Stanislaw Jozef Kwak; dear uncle of Aneta Kwak and Sylwia (Przemyslaw) Argasinski; dearest great-uncle of Oliver Argasinski and Milena Argasinski. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Michael W. LaMotte, age 81, longtime resident of Summit, passed away August 17.

He was the beloved husband for 48 years to Vicki Govea; loving father of Joseph Stephen (Victoria) LaMotte, Antoinette La Motte and Matthew LaMotte; proud grandfather of Alex (Emily) LaMotte, Michael (fiancée Citllaly) LaMotte, Victor, James, Damian LaMotte, Eli, Nicholas and Carli Buralli; great grandfather of Michael Jr., Alejandro and Sophia. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Eleanor LaMotte, his sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Alfred Sarnowski, his brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Judith LaMotte. Dear uncle to Tammy and Cliff Webster, Sandra and Bryce Thomas and the late Scott Alan and late the Christine Sarnowski. Great uncle to Kateri (Geronald) Skenandore and Robert La Motte and Alan Thomas.

Priscilla A. “Pris” Miserendino, age 53, passed away August 17, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Beloved daughter of Ann (nee Assise) Tejack and the late Ralph G. Miserendino Jr.; cherished sister of Lisa (Jim) Migogna, Joey (Sharon) and Natalie (Scott) Bowen; dear aunt of Taylor and Brook.  Dear niece, cousin and friend to many.  Priscilla was a proud Hairstylist for many years.

Hilda Narváez who graced this earth for 94 years passed away August 23, with her loving family at her side.

She was the beloved wife for 60 years to the late Francisco who passed away in 2016. Cherished mother of Frank Narváez, Myrna Narváez (Orlando) López, Harry (Marie) Narváez and Larry (Martha) Narváez; much loved grandmother of Orlando (Aris) López, David O. (Maria) López, Arlene M. López (Tony) Salcedo. Joshua H. Narváez, Bianca M. Narváez, Larry F. Narváez, Nathaniel Narváez and Victoria N. Narváez (Jacob) Jurgens; dear great grandmother of Bella, Ethan D., Aiden O. López, Anthony J. and Abigail A. Salcedo and Julianna Jurgens. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, Julio and Monserrate Lugo. Hilda rejoiced in spending all of her time with her family, whom she loved above all. A very religious person, Hilda had such a calming way about her, she brought much peace and comfort to so many. Her compassionate nature, warm smile and gentle humor will be forever treasured by her loved ones. The love lessons she taught her children and grandchildren will live on.

Andrzej “Andrew” Sadowski, age 78, passed away August 13.

Beloved husband of Barbara Sadowska (nee Maciaszek); loving father of Andrzej (Edyta) Sadowski and Rafal (Danuta) Sadowski; dearest grandfather of Sebastian and Klara; cherished son of the late Genowefa (nee Kamieniarczyk) and the late Jozef Sadowski; dear brother of Jan (Wladyslawa) Sadowski. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
