Visitation was held August 14 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 West Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). A Service in celebration of Ramon’s life was held at the funeral home. Per his request, Ramon will be cremated.

Beloved wife for 46 years to the love of her life, her husband, José Alvaro Ramirez; loving mother of Alvaro Ramirez, Ivan (Crystal) Ramirez, Haydee Ramirez Garcia (Moises Garcia) and Judith Ramirez Barraza (Omar Barraza); most loving grandmother of Aidan, Aaron, Ivan Max, Allianna, Alivia and Theo. Maria will be missed by her brother and sisters, Maria Diez, Jose Lino Ramirez, Leticia Homan-Villani, and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Maria and Jose Inocente Aranda, Magda and Ruben Uribe and the late Hilda Ramirez Rivera. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Lino Ramirez and Emma Homan and her sister, Maria De Lourdes Ramirez.

images REPORTER EXTRA ART Am Flag copyLawrence “Larry” A. Tomazin, age 92, of Bridgeview, passed away peacefully July 29. United States Air Force Veteran.

Larry was born on December 10, 1930, in Chicago, to Anton and Mary (Papish) Tomazin. He and his wife Connie recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Together they raised four children, Marianne (Mike) Malaychuk, Larry Jr. (Nancy), Patti (Thys) Jones and Tom (Jennie). All were so proud of their father. Larry cherished his grandchildren, Jessica (Billy), Michael, Justin (Alexa), Thys, Mattie, Paige, Josh, Nikki, Abby, Mitch and Hayden. They all loved their Poppy very much. He was so proud of his great grandchildren, Liam and Olivia, and they always had so much fun together. Loving brother to Eddie (Rosie), Anthony “JR” (Charlotte), Bobby (Rosemary) and Billy (Nancy). Larry was cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, he loved them all.

He was a bright light who lived life to the fullest, spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. His gentle and caring heart touched the hearts of many, and his family and friends meant everything to him. He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so generously shared with all who knew him.

Funeral Mass was held at St. Fabian Catholic Church, Bridgeview, August 4. In lieu of flowers, Larry would appreciate memorials to Special Olympics Wisconsin.org or Young at Heart Adult Day Services and Home Care Senior Outing and Care Services (S.O.C.S.). These were two of his favorite organizations he held close to his heart.
