Burbank police have identified the 77-year-old woman who was discovered dead in her home last week during a well-being check.
Police said the victim was identified as Mary Sarolas.
Police said they responded to a call for a well-being check at 2:44 p.m. on July 18 in the 8500 block of South Normandy Avenue and found Sarolas dead.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the death a homicide.
Police said they believed this to be an isolated incident and the public was not in danger.
Burbank police detectives are actively following up on several leads and updates will be provided as soon as information becomes available.
