Mark your calendars for the Kankakee County Museum’s “Local Author Meet and Greet” this Saturday, July 22, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Kankakee County Museum at Small Memorial Park, 801 S. Eighth Avenue in Kankakee! The event is being brought to you by the Kankakee County Historical Society, in partnership with the Bourbonnais Grove Historical Society.
Beginning at noon, local authors will take turns discussing their historical writings and how dedication to researching local history shaped their lives. Visitors are invited to come enjoy the presentations and light refreshments.
The writers will be available for questions and signings until 4 p.m. Books also will be available for purchase in the museum store or by the author’s themselves.
Participating local authors include: Dr. James Paul, Phil Angelo, Charles Balesi, Laura Golowski, Jack Klasey, Ken Ponton, and Mike Mahoney – just to name a few.
