Nearly 40 students from Shepard High School earned the Seal of Biliteracy, which recognizes graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in English and in one or more other foreign, or world, languages, from the State of Illinois.

Students earning the Seal of Biliteracy include Alyssa Fuks, Dania Soriano, Timothy Sanchez, Anna Czernik, Amber Glader, Jessica Acevedo, Nahara Contreras, Alejandra Davila, Maura Diaz, Michelle Fernandez, Maricruz Fernandez, Carlo Hernández, Guadalupe Magdaleno, Kendra Martinez, Gael Martínez.
