The annual Evergreen Park Independence Day Parade kicks off at 95th and Springfield at 6:30 p.m. today. It will proceed east on 95th Street to Richmond, then turns north to 91st and Richmond where the parade ends.

The parade will be led by a long string of fire engines that will be running sirens and by our Grand Marshal, OSF Little Company of Mary Medical Center. There will also be a chance to salute our Hometown Heroes!

Video of the parade will be available on the Village website next week.

Please remove vehicles from the parade route by 5 p.m. The street will be closed to traffic by 6 p.m.

Fireworks will follow the parade at Duffy Park at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.)
