Dean’s/President’s List

Niko Rodriguez, of Beecher, has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s winter Dean’s List.
Jeremy Roseen, of Manhattan, a Trine University student, was named to the President’s List for the spring term. Roseen is majoring in Biochemistry.
Matthew Stillman, of New Lenox, also a Trine University student, earned Dean’s List recognition for the spring term. Stillman is majoring in Communication.

Graduations
Envyi Lindsey, of New Lenox, was among 3,115 candidates for degrees attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee commencement exercises on Sunday, May 21, in Milwaukee. Lindsey received a Bachelor of Arts, from the university’s Peck School of the Arts.
Darrwin E. Perkins, of Crete, graduated from McKendree University with a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration.
Jason Wendling, of Crete, is among 264 University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduating seniors, who have completed the requirements to graduate from the University Honors Program in May. Wendling graduates from the College of Arts and Sciences.
Bethany Charleston, a resident of New Lenox, was among more than 700 students who graduated from Bob Jones University in South Carolina, on Friday, May 5. Charleston graduated Cum Laude with a BME in Music Education.
Honor Societies
Phi Kappa Phi’s Chapter 021 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison initiated 133 students and four administrators as honorary members in the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Congratulations to new inductee Jordan Sallis, from Crete.
Lucas Hancock, of New Lenox, recently was initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
College Sports
Edan Perez, of Manteno and a sophomore shortstop at Lawrence University, had a banner season, earning his first All-Midwest Conference honor. Perez led the Midwest Conference with a .490 batting average and earned Midwest Conference Player of the Week honors. Perez compiled nine doubles, two triples, six homers, 33 RBIs, and 26 runs scored in 23 conference games. He also was a perfect 9-for-9 on stolen bases.
On the season, Perez led the Vikings and is ranked in the top 20 in NCAA Division III with a .457 batting average, which is the sixth-best season batting average in Lawrence history. Perez finished the season with 10 doubles, four triples, nine homers, 42 RBIs, and 37 runs scored in 36 games. He also finished with 11 stolen bases.
