Ice Cream Social: Join the Park Forest Historical Society for its Ice Cream Social on Sunday, May 21, at 2:30 p.m., in Ryan Hall at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Come share stories of Park Forest, visit with friends, and tour the museum. The event is a “thank you” to our members, friends, special donors, and especially to our Star Volunteers, who help keep both groups going. It is free and open to the public. Please join us so the society can thank YOU, and you can thank the volunteers who spend their time saving and sharing YOUR history.
We Need Volunteers! Would YOU be willing to be trained to show the museum? The society needs several more people to share this volunteer activity. Those interested may choose whether to take a time in any given month or take a regular day each month.
A person is needed to schedule volunteers for monthly shifts. Unfortunately, the society may have to give up regular hours if more people do not volunteer! Also need are more active volunteers to work on projects in the Archive Office. Contact Jane Nicoll at 708-481-4252.
