On Monday, April 24, the Beecher Bobcat baseball team beat the Grant Park Dragons in a home game, 5-1. Quinton Allen threw a complete game for the Bobcats to earn the victory. The Bobcats scored 5 runs, on six hits, while the Dragons had 1 run, on 3 hits, along with 4 errors. Steven Fezler had two hits for the Bobcat offense, while AJ Snell, M. Gaidar, N. Lane, and R. Llamas each added one.
In a conference home doubleheader against Grace Christian, the Bobcats took the first game with a shutout, 10-0. For the Bobcats, the team scored 10 runs, on 8 hits, with no errors, while Grace Christian was held scoreless in their 5-hit attempt, along with 2 errors. Nathan Diachenko had another homer in the game, while Nolen Lane also added 2 hits. Trevor Stout earned the victory in four innings.
In the second contest, the stats basically were the same, with Beecher again beating Grace Christian 10-0. In the contest, Zak Gorcowski and Michael Gaidar each added two hits for the offense, with Nolen Land earning the victory on the mound.
To end the week of play, the Bobcats traveled to Manteno for a non-conference game on Friday, April 28, but lost, 4-10. Beecher scored 4 runs, on 5 hits, but committed 6 errors. The Panthers tallied 10 runs, on 9 hits, along with 4 errors of their own. For the day, Gorcowski had two hits, while Nathan Diachenko contributed a 3 RBI triple. Zak Gorcowski suffered the loss on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings, with AJ Snell coming in, in relief.
Overall the Bobcats are 10-11 and 7-2 in the RVC.
