Nigel Pennington-Flax, of Crete, was one of 60 presenters during the 2023 Student Research and Discovery Symposium at Coe College. Every year, students from all majors discuss their original work, which includes performances of compositions and creative writings, art displays, research posters, and oral presentations about academic work.
Abbey Short, of Monee, was among the 79 Alma College students recently awarded the President’s Award for the 2022-23 academic year. Abbey Short earned a third-year award.
Carissa Jones, from Monee, is preparing to compete in the Electrical Contracting Innovation Challenge (ECIC), sponsored by ELECTRI International, with the NECA Student Chapter at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). Jones is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering at MSOE.
