The Crete Area Chamber of Commerce met on Wednesday, March 8, with seven members in attendance. After routine business was conducted, the following topics were addressed:
- Reported several members renewed their membership, with follow-up letters sent to those who had not renewed. The renewal incentive drawing was extended to March 31.
- Crete Cruise Night preparations have begun, with the sponsor letter sent on March 15, followed by an email for Cruisers to be sent in April.
- Coordinator for Crete Farmers Market is Debbie Piepenbrink, who has been working on applications and details for the market. The application is available online.
- Next Business After Hours is May 24, at Crete Old Plank Trail Bank.
- New resident letters were sent, with several new residents picking up their welcome bags.
- Bunny Hop Event, April 1 – 8, to be held encouraging more people to shop locally.
- Park Pals Breakfast with the Easter Bunny was scheduled for April 2, with the Flashlight Egg hunt on March 31, and the daylight Easter Egg Hunt on April 1.
