Clove Alliance is hosting its 15th annual Walk-a-Mile in Her Shoes at The Majestic, on Friday, April 28. As the name of the walk indicates, participants are encouraged to wear women’s shoes as a symbol of their commitment to this important cause. This activity aims to empower men and raise awareness of men’s violence against women.
The cost is $10 and includes an event t-shirt and lunch. Registration deadline for a t-shirt is April 21, with registration online at clovealliance.square.site. Those who miss this deadline still are welcome to attend and participate in the walk but will not receive a t-shirt.
Sponsorship opportunities also are available. Sponsor the t-shirt with a company logo for $250 or be a supporter sponsor at $100 and list your company name on the event t-shirt. T-shirt sponsor placement deadline is April 21, with sponsorship opportunities found online at clovealliance.square.site.
Organizers invite the community to participate in this walk and encourage residents to assemble a team of five-10 men/women to join, as well. Participants walk in solidarity around the courthouse to raise awareness of this important issue. Men have the power to cease sexualized violence and become more active in trying to bring about a solution.
