GENERAL QUESTIONS
Why did you decide to run for this position? I decided to run to provide a clear honest vision for our children. We need to make sure all voices are heard and respected from all sides of the table. Many things get foreshadowed with too much emotion. School board should be run with compassion and a business.
What qualifications/experience do you feel you possess for this position? I was a general manager in retail for 20 years before deciding to be a stay at home mother of 3. My long career including all my life skills provide me the tools needed for this position. My skill set spans from customer service, problem solving, budgeting and scheduling. My coaching and teaching skills helped others be their best and move ahead whether in life or their retail career. I’m organized and passionate in anything I do.
What do you hope to accomplish? I hope to accomplish true and honest relationships with the families who send their children to our school each and everyday. Remind the district the roles we play in developing our children make a difference and our decisions should reflect the best we can do by them.
What do you see as issues that should be prioritized in the near future? Develop more opportunities for children to learn and grow right here in our town. We need to set us up to have activities available in our district and sponsored by our district. Too many missed opportunities that send families elsewhere to spend their money investigating in their children’s hobbies or skills. Addressing concerns from the taxpayer and making informed decisions.
What would you like people to know about you? I’m a young widow with 3 amazing girls. Everyday I do my best to give them a full happy life. I intend to put that energy into all of our districts children. They all deserve it.
