February 15, Michael Florian, 43, of the 9000 block of S. Cicero Avenue, Oak Lawn, was stopped in the 500 block of Indiana Avenue for an expired registration. The registration was for another vehicle, and Mr. Florian was issued citations for improper use of a registration and no valid registration, then was bonded and released.
February 16, Roba Kocis, 21, of the 4400 block of Henry Street, Oak Forest, was stopped for a vehicle equipment violation at Rt. 394 and Village Woods Drive and found to have an active arrest warrant from Cook County for aggravated unlawful use of a loaded weapon. During an inventory search of his vehicle, two boxes of ammunition were located, and Mr. Kocis was charged with possessing the ammunition, while his FOID card was suspended. Due to the judge setting no bond for the warrant, Mr. Kocis was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Center.
February 18, Yormil Manuel Acevedo-Blanco, 28, of the 13000 block of East Rt. 17, Grant Park, was stopped for speeding at Corning Avenue and Dixie Highway and found to have no valid driver’s license. He was arrested, processed, and released on bond.
February 21, Jose Hernandez, 34, of the 500 block of S. Greenwood Avenue, Kankakee, was stopped at Dixie Highway and Linden Lane for a vehicle equipment violation and found to have a suspended driver’s license. He was arrested, bonded shortly afterward, and released.
February 19, Abbey Reynolds, 39, of the 1900 block of Fifth Street, Springfield, was stopped in the 600 block of Indiana Avenue for speeding. She was issued a citation for traveling at a speed 26-mph above the speed limit.
February 26, Del Garron, 51, of the 4400 block of Towle Avenue, Hammond, was stopped at 1201 Dixie Highway for speeding and found to have a suspended driver’s license. He was arrested, bonded shortly afterward, and released.
