Please consider donating blood and help transform lives on March 11, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Beecher Fire Department’s meeting room, 711 Penfield Street. Currently, there is a shortage of life saving blood. Type “O” is the most universal blood used, but all types are in low supply.
To make an appointment, which helps in scheduling but is not necessary, contact Vitalant at 877-258-4825, or visit Vitalant.org. Use group code ORDOH106. This contact number also is able to answer any questions about one’s eligibility to give.
Every two seconds someone needs blood across America. One unit of blood can save as many as three lives. Don’t forget to eat well, be hydrated, and bring an ID.
