1. Why did you decide to run for trustee? I have lived and had a business in Peotone for over 20 years now, I am running for no Reason other then to be “the Peoples voice” as a trustee, to make Peotone a place to live with good services, strong values and provide a more open and honest form of government and meet the needs of our citizens.
2. Have you held public office before? I have been on the Peotone P & Z board from 2008 to 2022, with 4 different Mayors.
3. What is your background? My Background is in Finance with 44 years in the Insurance Industry.
4. What community involvement, organization, affiliations, or club memberships do you have? I have been involved in the Peotone Relay for Life from 2004 until today raising money for the cancer society.
5. What characteristics, qualifications, or experience do you feel you possess to be a trustee? I feel my 20 years living here and working her in Peotone is my qualification.
6. How can the village board improve? By being more transparent and listening to the public as a whole!
7. What are important issues you’d like to address and how will you address them? The Downtown Street scape expense and controlling it, Expanding and bringing businesses into town.
8. Do you support the downtown streetscape in its current state and if not, what would you change? I do not support it in its present form! I would modify it to bring in new businesses and clean up the area too! I believe that the expense is to much is being spent with little to no return on the investment!
9. Raising chickens in village limits has been a topic of discussion. What are your thoughts? I am studying how other municipalities approach this issue and at this time if I voted for it, I would want it to look similar to others in the area.
