Nathan Phillips

A 62-year-old Chicago man suspected of robbing an Orland Park gas station on Feb. 19 was tracked down and arrested the following day in Chicago.

Orland Park police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Mobil gas station, 14300 S. LaGrange Road, at 5:42 p.m. Feb. 19. An employee said the man displayed a gun and demanded money from the cash register. He fled before police arrived, but Orland Park investigators were able to identify his car, which was registered to Nathan I. Phillips, 62, of Chicago.

When he was identified as the suspect in the robbery, Phillips was located in the area of 102nd Street and Torrence Avenue in Chicago on Feb. 20, and charged with one count of armed robbery. He appeared at a hearing in Bridgeview Courthouse on Feb. 22, and was ordered held without bond.
