Don’t miss your second chance to witness this exciting lecture, “The Geologic Story of Kankakee Valley,” about the geologic history and formation of Kankakee Valley, presented by local geology enthusiast and museum intern, Abigeil Davis. The event will be held on Saturday, March 18, at 11 a.m., at the Kankakee County Museum, 801 South Eighth Avenue, in Kankakee.
Ms. Davis will take the audience on a journey through time, as told by the sedimentary rocks of the Kankakee Valley. Visitors also will enjoy viewing some of Abigeil’s personal collection of rocks gathered during her many adventures. She currently is majoring in geology at North Carolina Central University.
