More than 500 current University of Iowa students, including Tallen Lawrence and Megan Minday of New Lenox, participated in the 29th annual student-led Dance Marathon, generating more than $1.1 million for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Since its inception, Dance Marathon has generated more than $34 million.
Dean’s/President’s/Honors Lists
In recognition of outstanding academic achievement, Trinity Christian College released the college’s Dean’s List for fall. Tom Cook, from New Lenox, recently was named to the Dean’s List at the College of William and Mary for the fall semester.
Wesleyan University’s Dean’s List for the fall semester of the 2022-23 academic year consisted of 757 students, including the following local students: Beecher – Carla Snyder; Manhattan – Elizabeth Shaver; New Lenox – Kailee Galloway, Anna Kirk, Joel Madrigal, Amanda Yaeger, Nick Tingley, Carter Kameron, and John Orrico; and Peotone – Isabella Parish.
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point honored more than 2,350 undergraduate students for attaining high grade point averages during the fall semester, with personalized certificates of scholastic achievement sent to those who earned highest honors distinction, including Delaney Kunkel, from Manhattan, and Emma Pinciak, from New Lenox.
Samuel Sumrow, of New Lenox, was named to the Blackburn College Dean’s List for the fall semester.
Kelsey Bernhard, from New Lenox, has been named to DePauw University’s fall Dean’s List, in Greencastle, Indiana.
Elmhurst University recently announced students named to the fall Dean’s List, including Micaiah Brown, of Crete, and Alexi Littmann, Julia Noga, and Lindsey O’Donnell, all of New Lenox.
