The Palos Village Players are back under the flood lights with a new production, staging “All the Days,” at the Palos Park Recreation Center, 8901 W. 123rd St.
Sarah Callis, of Orland Park, will be directing many other local residents in this production of the play by Sharyn Rothstein. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 17 and 18, and Feb. 24 and 25, in addition to a 2 p.m. matinee on Feb. 19.
In the play described as a “warm, heart-filled comedy about the scars of childhood and finding love,” Miranda has done everything in her power to create a family completely different than the one she came from.
But after a painful loss, she suffers a lapse in judgement and invites her hilarious, complicated and self-destructive mother, Ruth, to stay with her before her son’s bar mitzvah.
What sort of hijinks will happen when other needy family members show up in search of connections and second chances?
Joining Callis behind the scenes will be assistant director: Dannette Haley of Hickory Hills, and producer Stephen Bell of Oak Lawn.
The cast includes Denise Goad (Ruth) of Homer Glen; Jacqueline Ashcraft (Monica) of Shorewood; Dana Hall (Miranda) of Orland Park; Bryan Riess (Del) of Orland Park; Rudy Chavez (Baptiste) of New Lenox; Peter Buchacz (Stewbert) of Wood Dale; and Aidan Raubolt (Jared) of Orland Park.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $23 for students and seniors with a $3 handling fee. They may be obtained by calling (877) PVP-TIXS and will be available at the door.
