In final regular season play on Tuesday, February 7, Manteno lost to conference opponent Herscher, 21-63, in Herscher. Despite the loss, Manteno’s regular season record is 14-12 and is the first winning season since 2006. The Panthers are 6-8 and in fifth place in the ICE Conference.
On the night, Katherine Gaffney played her heart out, leading the team with 9 points and 9 rebounds.
Manteno is to host Wilmington for the Regional Quarter Finals at Manteno Middle School on February 11, at 5:30 p.m.
