On January 30, Beecher Police Officers were summoned to the 200 block of Woodward for a report of a man shot. When officers arrived, they found the victim, who had been shot. It was learned the victim and the offender are acquainted, but the offender had fled the scene after the shooting.
The Will County Grundy Major Crimes Task Force is assisting in investigating the crime and attempting to apprehend the offender. There is no indication the public is in danger. Contact Chief Terry Lemming at tlemming@villageofbeecher.org for questions.
