The choral extravaganza of the year returns on its 35th anniversary to the Chicago Southland, when America Sings! takes center stage at Fox Pointe in Lansing, May 5-6. Welcoming youth, adult, school, and church groups of all ages to join this high-energy singing experience, America Sings! is accepting registrations through February 17.
This non-competitive event, offers choir groups 15 minutes of fame to sing their hearts out. Solo singers also are welcome to register to participate in the massed-choir finale celebration Saturday night.
Kicking off the two-day event Friday at historic Ford Hangar is an informative “Singposium” workshop and the massed-choir finale rehearsal, with all registered singers. Saturday is “A Windy City America Sings!” extravaganza, featuring performances by all registered choir groups. Additionally, they will participate in the community service project and join the Lansing Good Neighbor parade to meet new friends and create connections.
America Sings! proudly advocates for stimulating interest in choral music, while generating attention to charitable services. Choral music and humanitarian efforts are the cornerstones of the organization.
