At the January 17 Manteno Village Board Meeting, which lasted 13 minutes from beginning to end, Mayor Tim Nugent announced that it’s time to renew registrations for golf carts that use village streets.
The mayor said, “everyone who registered last year will be getting a renewal form in the mail.”
Anyone interested in registering that hasn’t done so before can make an appointment with the police department to obtain a registration form or they can just go to village hall and get one there.
New stickers must be on golf carts by June 1. If you register or renew by that date the cost is $25. If you wait until after June 1 the price goes up to $50.
