At their January 3 meeting, the Bourbonnais Village Board approved the spending of just over $700,000 on two road projects this year. 
Village Administrator Mike Van Mill said the projects west of Rt. 45/52, on both 5000 and 6000 N Roads, will be similar in nature. 
The work will include an asphalt overlay from Career Center Road to Rt. 45/52, as well as ditch retrenching to improve drainage, along with curb and gutter replacements.
The contract for both projects was awarded to Kankakee Valley Construction Company. Work will begin this spring.
