Frankfort/New Lenox
December 13: S. Frankfort Square Drive and W. St. Francis Road, Frankfort; Mark Obregon, 62, of Homewood, was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
December 14: S. Harlem and W. 194th Street, Frankfort; Gregory Beasley, 51, of Chicago, was cited for driving while license suspended.
December 18: 23000 block of S. 80th Avenue, Frankfort; Person/s unknown stole a 2007 Chevy 3500 pickup truck from the driveway of a residence. Offender/s also stole two aluminum rims and eight car batteries from the garage.
December 18: 24000 block of S. 80th Avenue, Frankfort; Person/s unknown entered an attached garage and stole a trailer, two dirt bikes, four Snap On jackets, two snowmobile helmets, Tobe snowmobile bibs, a GoPro camera, jump box, and two truck hitches. The trailer had a tracking device, which showed the trailer in a parking lot in Hammond, Indiana. Hammond Police recovered the trailer, while the dirt bikes also were recovered on the trailer.
Lockport
December 19: W. Oak Avenue and S. Briggs; Meeko Jones, 27, of Lockport, was cited for driving while license suspended.
Joliet
December 14: Barr Elms Avenue and E. Washington; Tiana C. Berkey, 28, of 5230 Aux Sable Road in Morris, was arrested for aggravated DUI, DUI/drugs, driving while license suspended, failing to leave information after property damage accident, failure to report accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Additional charges are pending. She also was held on an active Will County FTA warrant.
December 14: S. Weber and W. Renwick; Jose Garcia, 26, of Joliet, was cited for suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
December 14: 1900 block of S. Chicago Street; Person/s unknown broke out the rear passenger window of a Hyundai Accent. Offender/s then entered the vehicle and tore the steering column and tampered with the ignition in an attempt to steal the vehicle.
December 16: 95 S. Chicago Street, Adult Detention Facility; Denziel Banks, 26, of 3148 N. Christiana in Chicago, was charged with aggravated battery to a correctional officer.
December 16: Plainfield Road and Hennepin Drive; Genaro Guzman, 43, of 2604 Crescenzo Drive in Joliet, was arrested for DUI, stopping on roadway, and disobeying a traffic control device.
December 16: 4230 W. Jefferson Street, Shell Gas; Manager stated around 11 p.m. an unknown male entered the store, went behind the counter, and stole two cartons of Newport cigarettes. The manager attempted to stop the male, but the male forcefully took the cigarettes back and left the store on foot. The manager was not injured.
December 17: N. Bluff and Lime Streets; Ethan Talarico, 26, of 16403 S. Ellna Court in Plainfield, was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and driving while license revoked.
December 18: E. Jackson and Collins; Lioneil Smith, 31, of 1408 Freedom Boulevard in Joliet, was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, no FOID card, armed violence, resisting a peace officer, and was held on an active aggravated DUI warrant.
December 19: Strong Avenue and Miles; Davion Clayton, 20, of Joliet, was cited for driving while license revoked and disobeying a stop sign.
West Townships
December 14: 23000 block of W. 127th Street, Plainfield; Deborah Thompson, 60, of 26208 Milestone Drive in Plainfield, was arrested for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and DUI.
South Townships
December 13: W. Wilmington-Peotone Road and S. Rt. 53, Wilmington; Dylan Palenik, 30, of Kankakee, was cited for suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and improper lighting.
December 14: W. Baltimore and School Street, Wilmington; Miguel Pena, 48, of Joliet, was cited for driving while license suspended and expired registration.
East Townships
December 13: 100 block of W. Exchange Street, Crete; About 2 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a residence for a burglary that had just occurred. Deputies spoke with the homeowners, one of whom stated that while sitting in his living room he heard an unknown male enter the back door. The subject was wearing a black jacket, reflective vest, a mask, and a hat. The subject stated he was from the electrical company and was there to check the fuse box. The homeowner took the man to the basement and after a few minutes the homeowner heard his sister yelling from upstairs. When the homeowner went upstairs, he observed a second unknown male push his sister to the side in order to exit. The homeowner attempted to grab the first unknown male, but he ran from the home.
Deputies spoke with the sister, who stated that while she was in the kitchen, she observed the second male inside her home. She became suspicious of the men and began yelling at the subject to get out of her home. When the two subjects were trying to leave, another two males came running from the upstairs bedrooms and exited the house. Two wallets and a purse were stolen. The victims were not injured.
December 15: 29000 block of S. State Line Road, Beecher; Person/s unknown stole a 2008 Toyota Avalon from behind a pole barn.
December 19: Sandpiper Lane, Beecher; Ruth Valachovic, 64, of Crete, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving while license suspended.
Homer Glen
December 13: W. 151st Street and S. Arboretum Drive; Ayden Lerch, 19, of Homer Glen, was cited for aggravated speeding.
December 15: S. Gougar Road and W. 159th Street; Danny Espinoz Patino, 37, of Chicago, was cited for aggravated speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
December 16: S. Lemont Road and W. 143rd Street; Krol Wladyslaw, 37, of Homer Glen, was cited for aggravated speeding.
December 16: W. Bruce and S. Meader Roads; Marsha Reyes, 44, of Joliet, was cited for aggravated speeding.
December 19: 14169 S. Bell Road, Meijer; Chad Howard, 29, of 801 Houston Street in Lemont, was arrested for retail theft.
