Tuesday Morning Book Discussion: Kankakee Public Library, 210 E. Merchant Street, hosts the Tuesday Morning Book Discussion on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. The book discussion for Tuesday, January 10, will be about “What Was Mine,” by Helen Klein Ross.
Simply told but deeply affecting, this urgent novel unravels the heartrending yet unsentimental tale of a woman who kidnaps a baby in a superstore and gets away with it for 21 years. This free program is open to the public. Join us to discuss this book!
Journaling Class: Journaling is not rote descriptions of the day’s events but what we learn from daily experiences. It is revelation and reflection. Join others at the library for a journaling class on Tuesday, January 10, at 5:30 p.m. Revisit thoughts and ideas, and examine anew. This class explores various ways to journal attitudes, emotions, and ideas. Supplies will be provided. The free class requires registration, so please call 815-939-4564, option four, to reserve a spot!
For more information on upcoming events, checkout the Kankakee Public Library’s Facebook page, or contact the library at 815-939-4564.
