State Rep. Jackie Haas continued to recognize small businesses around her district. Her last local business of 2022 was Frank’s Appliance Center and Sleepsource in Bradley. Rep. Haas presented owners Mark and Joanne Keen, and their daughter Stephanie, with an official certificate of recognition from the Illinois House of Representatives, to note their contribution of great service to the community!

Frank’s Appliance Center and Sleepsource was founded in 1961, by Frank and Adella Petkunas – Joanne’s parents, and the Keens took the reins of the operations over from them in 2002. For a longstanding community business, Rep. Haas was excited to present the family with this recognition!

“This is a locally-owned and operated business, which means money spent here goes right back into our community,” said Rep. Haas. “This is incredible to have a family business transcend over 60 years, and I’m thrilled to congratulate them on not only their long-standing service to our community, but also their commitment to serving those in need, as well.”

Haas’ visit came at the right time, as the business is running a promotional sale through the end of January. If you buy a mattress for $599 and up, they will donate a mattress to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a non-profit organization that provides beds to children and families in need. To date, Frank’s Appliance Center and Sleepsource donated nearly 300 mattresses this past year. Rep. Haas encourages her constituents to check out Frank’s, at 1035 W Superior Street in Bradley.

The Representative will continue recognizing local businesses throughout the New Year. If you know of a business in the area you believe should be recognized, reach out to Rep. Haas’ District Office at haas@ilhousegop.org!
