Charles “Chuck” Nicholson, 81, of St. Anne, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at his home. Born September 13, 1941, in St. Anne, he was the son of Leslie and Pauline (Potts) Nicholson. Chuck married Lois Page on January 24, 1959, in Kankakee. She preceded him in death on October 17, 2022.
Chuck, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1958-1959, worked as a mechanic and maintenance technician at Armstrong World Industries in Kankakee. He also was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Anne. Chuck enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are three sons, Steve (Kathy) Nicholson of Murrieta, California, Keith (Anne) Nicholson of Pembroke, and Chad (Mary) Nicholson of Momence; one daughter, Tammy (Bud) Munyon of Mattoon; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Lois Nicholson, Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; sons, David Nicholson and Jeffery Nicholson; brothers, Zeke Nicholson and Leslie Nicholson; and sister, Susie Fox.
Private family graveside services were held at St. Anne Township Cemetery.
