On Thursday, December 29, the Beecher Bobcats scored another holiday victory, 72-50, over Morrison. The win clinched the team’s place in the championship game of the Cliff Warkins Memorial Tourney, hosted by Erie High School, on Friday, December 30.

For the Bobcats, Adyn McGinley led the team with 24 points, Zack Johnson had 18, Rio Llamas added 8, Jack Hayhurst – 7, Ethan Turney and Ethan Rydberg – 5 each, while Orlin Nesbitt finished with 4.

Then on Friday, December 30, Beecher faced Sterling’s Newman Central Catholic in the championship game of the Cliff Warkins Memorial Holiday Tournament, and Beecher brought home the championship, trouncing Newman Central, 70-48.

In the contest, Adyn McGinley led the Bobcats with a total of 28 points. He was followed by Jack Hayhurst with 14, Zack Johnson had 12, and Rio Llamas finished with 8.

Congratulations to Adyn McGinley who was named tournament MVP!! Overall the Bobcats’ record is 14-1. Way to go, Bobcats!
