Libby McArthur
The drawings, collectively known as her ‘Inktober’ collection, were made during October.
McArthur took part in a worldwide drawing month activity that had specific prompts for every day of the month.
“After having my kids, I found I was creating art less and less, so I decided I needed to draw, too,” McArthur said.
While many of the drawings include an image of an owl, each one provides a unique aspect related to the prompt of the day.
Library visitors are encouraged to interact with the exhibit by matching the prompt to a drawing and submitting their answers. Everyone who participates in the activity will be entered into a drawing to receive a print titled “Scurry.”
McArthur’s drawing students did a smaller version of ‘Inktober’ as part of a class activity last month.
