Hills Chamber to bring back Business and Community Expo on Saturday

The Hills Chamber of Commerce will once again host the Business and Community Expo from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at Conrady Junior High School, 7950 W. 97th St., Hickory Hills.
The expo returns after a two-year absence due to the pandemic. Over 50 exhibitors are scheduled to take part in the expo. Local businesses, direct sales vendors, crafters and many community organizations will also attend.
A toiletry drive to aid the Ukrainian refugees will also coincide with the expo. Palos Hills Aldermen Mike Lebarre (3rd) and Donna O’Connell (5th) are teaming up to collect the toiletries. Residents and businesses are asked to make a donation that can be dropped off at the expo on Saturday.
The Windy City Thunderbolts baseball team mascot, Boomer, will be stopping by in the early afternoon to entertain and meet the kids.
The Secretary of State mobile unit will also be on hand for those who need new vehicle stickers, state IDs and driver’s licenses.
Pathlights, which was formerly PLOWS, will have a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the expo.
Representatives from both the cities of Hickory Hills and Palos Hills, as well as officials from Palos Township will also be available.
