The Haven Indoor Golf, 12317 S. Harlem Avenue, combines the industry’s leading golf simulator technology in a climate controlled, fun and welcoming environment to create a year-round home for golf right in the heart of Palos Heights.
“I grew up in Palos Heights so I’m very familiar with the aera, in fact I went to the old drug store at this location as a kid,” Borschel said. “I’ve been overwhelmed with the support of the community and how everyone stops in to check out our new business.”
Borchel who earned a finance degree from Eastern Illinois University went on to obtain his MBA from Loyola University Chicago. He said his avid interest in golf helped to inspire his indoor golfing haven.
“For folks who love to golf who live in the Chicago area, the winters can be so long without swinging a golf club, so The Haven can help keep your game sharp during the winter months,” Borchel said. “Golf is so much more than just chasing a white ball around; it’s spending time with your friends. Our goal with The Haven was not only have the best golf simulators but have a fun and friendly atmosphere where folks can grab a beer and catch up with friends, watch their favorite Chicago sports team or just escape the Chicago winters.”
Offering the finest virtual golf experience available, using real golf balls, The Haven Indoor Golf is a fun escape for all ages and golfing skills, whether you’re a low-handicapper, a first-time player or anywhere in between. There are more than 40 world-class courses on at the location with state-of-the-art golf simulators. Some of the popular courses available are: Pebble Beach, Torrey Pines or Royal Troon and many more.
“Our simulators are truly state of the art and top of the line,” Borchel said. “When folks have used other simulators and they play at the Haven their first time, they truly are blown away at what a difference and improvement we offer at The Haven.”
In addition to daily play, The Haven also offers league play, private lessons, and special events for groups and businesses. There are also multiple food and beverage options available, including cocktails and ice-cold beer.
“The Haven Indoor Golf is great for the Palos area because we needed a business like this and it’s a local business, not a chain,” Todd Probasco, Vice President of the Palos Area Chamber, said. “Palos Heights attracts many, wonderful local businesses like this.”
At The Haven, all courses can be played with simulated current weather conditions at the golf course, in real time.
