Lorraine Elizabeth Doran (née Wasik) was born in Chicago on February 23, 1934, and was the second youngest of 10 children born to Thomas Wasik (1885–1965) and Catherine (née Chmiel) Wasik (1895–1977), both immigrants from Poland. She was the last surviving sibling of Francis, Sophie, Angela, Genevieve, Helen, Emily, Chester, Eleanor and Mary Ann.

Zbigniew “Ziggy” Kuchyt, a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, in Oak Lawn, Illinois, at the age of 75.

Bogdan Hryc, age 57, of Lemont, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. Born on July 23, 1968, in Łapy, Poland, Bogdan’s life was defined by his adventurous spirit, love of family, and passion for mechanics.
