A New Lenox man was arrested early Feb. 21 after police found him passed out behind the wheel of a car with vomit covering the center console at Rachel Lane and Pentagon Drive in Orland Park.
Vincent J. DiCastillo, 39, was charged with driving under the influence. Police said when they woke him, he admitted to drinking but denied he had been driving — and refused to take a sobriety test.
Officers arrived to find DiCastillo slumped over the center console, the windows fogged from inside. A “large amount” of vomit covered the console, according to the police report.
When officers woke him and asked where he was coming from, DiCastillo said, “nowhere.”
Asked if he had been drinking, he responded: “I’m in Orland. I’m pulled over. Yes.”
But DiCastillo insisted he was not driving, the report states. When police asked whether he would submit to a sobriety test, he refused.
Officers arrested him at the scene.
DiCastillo has a hearing scheduled for April 3 at the 5th District courthouse in Bridgeview.
