John J. Burciaga

John J. Burciaga, a man with an immense heart and a legendary work ethic, completed his earthly journey on December 16, 2025, in Homewood, Illinois.

Born on January 11, 1973, in Chicago, John was the cherished son of Armando and Barbara Burciaga. John’s life was a testament to the values of hard work and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.

John’s greatest pride was his family. He was a loving and devoted father to Jose (Yvette) Burciaga and Jessica (Joseph) Crespin, teaching them the values of hard work and unconditional love.

He was a protective and supportive brother to Elizabeth (Angel) Aguilar and Armando (Stephanie) Burciaga, and he found immense joy in his role as a doting uncle. He leaves behind lasting memories for his nieces: Eliana, Chloe, Cassie, Aily Aguilar and Ariel, Lily, Emma, and Alyssa Burciaga.

John was a true “jack of all trades.” If something was broken, John was the one to fix it. His brilliance with cars and trucks made him the “go-to” person for anyone in a bind, and he was always the first to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement. Whether he was under a hood or cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, John’s presence was a constant source of strength.

John had a rare gift for making every individual feel valued and heard, whether through captivating storytelling or his infectious laughter. He was dependable, constant, and always there when his family needed him most. His story does not end here; it lives on in the hearts of those he touched. Rest in peace, dear John, until we meet again.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois.
