Palos Heights is set to kick off a two-day Kris Kringle Market and its annual Christmas Parade, offering festive fun for all ages.

The Kris Kringle Market runs on Friday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in a heated tent at the Municipal Parking Lot at 12217 S. Harlem Ave.  This family-friendly event features 70 vendors selling handcrafted gifts, festive foods, and holiday decorations.

The festivities begin Friday evening with a tree lighting ceremony led by Mayor Bob Straz, accompanied by carolers..

On Saturday, Dec. 6, the annual Christmas Parade starts at 10:45 a.m. along Harlem Avenue, beginning at 126th Street and Harlem Avenue. Organized by Alderman Heather Begley, the parade will showcase festive floats, local groups, and an appearance by Santa Claus.
