Kenneth J. Kazmierczak, fondly known as Ken, passed away on October 29, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois, at the age of 74. Born on September 30, 1951, Ken brought laughter, love, and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A talented master machinist, Ken was equally skilled at fixing, tinkering, and turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories. His quick wit and infectious humor made him the life of every room and the heart of every gathering.
Ken was a devoted father to Lisa, Jennifer (John), and Samantha, and a proud grandfather to Ashley, Emily, Aubree, Jayden, Olivia, Elijah, and his beloved grand-dog, Roxy. He passed along not only his craftsmanship but also his sense of joy, resilience, and the art of laughing through life’s challenges.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph, mother, Bernice, partner Linda, and brother, Joseph. Ken’s memory lives on in his children, grandchildren, extended family, cousins, and the countless friends who will forever cherish his humor and kindness.
Ken had a love for the roar of engines at the dragstrip and enjoyed relaxing with a well-mixed Southern Comfort Hurricane. Whether it was a squeaky door, a stubborn barbecue flame, or a tricky repair, Ken faced it all with a wrench in one hand and a punchline at the ready.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois. The funeral service and time of remembrance will follow at 6:30 PM. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Ken’s life reminds us to embrace every challenge with courage, laughter, and love. He may have taken his final bow, but the echoes of his humor and joy will remain forever.
