The suspects fled northbound in both their own vehicle and the victims’ vehicle, a 2020 black Kia Soul. Community Safety Reminder
The Peotone Police Department reminds residents to always be aware of your surroundings.
• If you are ever approached by an armed subject, do not attempt to resist. Your safety is the top priority – cooperate, get to a safe location, and call 911 as soon as possible.
• Practice spatial awareness when driving. Leave extra space between your vehicle and the one in front of you, especially at intersections and stop signs. This gives you more time to react, provides an escape route if needed, and reduces the risk of being boxed in by another vehicle.
