On September 29, Angel Jesus Carabez, 22, of Chicago, was stopped for failure to dim bright lights and found to have never had a driver’s license. He was issued citations for both offenses and released on a notice-to-appear.

On September 29, officers were called to 1350 Dixie Highway for a suspicious person call. Upon arrival the officers encountered Landers T. Thompson, 43, of Monee, who had an outstanding arrest warrant from Will County for residential burglary. He was arrested and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

On September 29, Yosmairy Alejandra Estrada, 19, of Robbins, was stopped for being on a cell phone and found to have never had a driver’s license. She was issued citations for no valid driver’s license and improper use of an electronic communication device, issued a notice-to-appear and released.

On September 30, Sebastian Munoz, 25, of Crete, was stopped for a vehicle equipment violation and found to have a suspended driver’s license. He was issued citations for the equipment violation, no insurance, and driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was issued a notice-to-appear and released.

On October 4, James Reed, 38, of Bourbonnais, was observed driving a vehicle missing a tire. He was approached, arrested, and charged with DUI, operating an unsafe vehicle, and improper lane usage. He was released on a notice-to-appear.

On October 4, William Smith, 49, of Beecher, reported a theft to police, and it was discovered that he had an active arrest warrant from Cook County. Officers also charged him with possession of a controlled substance. He posted bond on the warrant and was issued a notice-to-appear on the new charge of possession of a controlled substance and released.

On October 5, Kelly Rose, 26, of Grovertown, Indiana, was stopped for having an expired registration plate and found to be illegally in possession of controlled substances. She was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of cannabis, obstructing a peace officer, expired registration, and improper lane usage. After being charged she was released on a notice-to-appear.

On October 9, William Chapman, 55, of Grant Park, was stopped for having an expired registration plate and found to have a driver’s license expired for more than a year. He was issued citations for no valid driver’s license, no insurance, and expired registration. He was given a notice-to-appear and released.

On October 9, Antonio Cardenas, 27, of Calumet City, was stopped for having no headlights or taillights activated and found to be driving without a valid driver’s license. He was issued a citation for that offense and improper lighting, then released on a notice-to-appear.

On October 11, Emily Hulbert, 30, of Channahon, was stopped for speeding and issued a citation for going 26-34-mph over the posted speed limit. She was released on a notice-to-appear.

On October 24, Serhii Novytskyi, 29, of Arlington Heights, was stopped for having no front license plate and issued citations for improper operation of a commercial motor vehicle, no safety test, and no front license plate. He was issued a notice-to-appear and released.

On October 26, Kristy Mitchell, 43, of Northlake, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic control device violation. Ms. Mitchell was issued a citation for possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle and released on a notice-to-appear.
