The Bridgeview, Argo-Summit and Justice Lions Clubs will hold their annual Oktoberfest fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bridgeview Community Center, 7900 S. Oketo Ave.
“It’s the fourth year the Oktoberfest fundraiser is taking place, and each year it gets better,” said Dawn Grogan, longtime Bridgeview Lions Club member.
“We were lucky to have Eddie Korosa Jr. last year and booked him again right away for this year. Between his legendary polka music and the great show he and his band put on, it’s a terrific fit for Oktoberfest!”
The event will feature Korosa’s polka entertainment, seasonal decorations, and food such as hot dogs, brats and other treats.
“We have had so many wonderful donations this year from area businesses and organizations that help us put this event on, and will have some great raffle prizes as well,” Grogan said.
Proceeds from donations, food and drink sales will benefit the three clubs, which support community programs.
Tickets cost $15 and include a door prize entry. Children under 12 are admitted free. Tickets are available at the door, from any Lions member, or by Zelle at bridgewviewlions@gmail.com
